My Favorite Authors

Over the past few years, I’ve found a few favorite authors that I can count on for a great book. On one hand, when they release a new book, I need to get a copy immediately. On the other hand, if I’m at a loss of what to read or need some inspiration, I can count on these authors for a great story. I’ve read many of their books over the past year. These are my favorite authors right now, and I hope you give them a chance. Happy reading! xo

Riley Sager

All of Sager’s books have been the perfect mix of mystery, thriller, and suspense and will keep you guessing until the end. The first three are my favorite but the other two are great too!

Kristin Hannah

Favorites: The Nightingale, The Great Alone, The Four Winds

Other books by Hannah: The Night Road, Homefront, Firefly Lane

At least for the three I’ve read, Kristin Hannah pours her heart into the research behind her novels. Each story puts you right into the time period and you grow to love the characters and their struggles. She has made me a fan of historical fiction.  

Elin Hilderbrand

Favorites: Winter in Paradise, What Happens in Paradise, Troubles in Paradise, 28 Summers, Golden Girl

Other books by Hilderbrand: Summer of ’69, The Perfect Couple, A Summer Affair, Winter Street

Hilderbrand has written around 30 novels. I’ve only read the first five, but can’t wait to read more. I can count on her books for a perfect beach read. The Paradise series was captivating, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Taylor Jenkins Reid

Favorites: Malibu Rising, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

Other books by TJR: Daisy Jones & The Six, Maybe in Another Life, One True Loves

Excited for: Carrie Soto is Back

TJR has a devoted fan base which is no surprise to anyone who’s read one of her books. The stories are so well written and suck you in from the first page.

Colleen Hoover

Favorites: Verity, It Ends with Us, Reminders of Him

Other books by Ware: Ugly Love, November 9

Excited for: It Starts with Us

I’m not normally one for romance novels but Colleen Hoover is having a moment for me. Most of her novels are considered contemporary romance, and as I’ve been exploring that genre, I’m a fan.

Ruth Ware

Favorites: The Woman in Cabin 10, In a Dark, Dark Wood, One by One

Other books by Ware: The Turn of the Key, The Death of Mrs. Westaway, The Lying Game

Excited for: The It Girl

I loved the first three and liked the other three. You can count on Ware for a thriller that will keep you guessing.
